PAC OptiDist 2, automated atmospheric distillation
PAC OptiDist 2, automated atmospheric distillation
PAC OptiDist 2, fully automated instrument for atmospheric distillation according to ASTM D86 and other standard methods.
PAC OptiDist 2 is a fully automated instrument for atmospheric distillation, engineered for high precision, reliability and ease of use in the lab. The instrument builds on the experience gained from the original OptiDist and is designed to deliver consistent results across sample types.
With a redesigned cooling system and advanced optimiser technology, OptiDist 2 is an efficient choice for distillation analysis according to the most common standard methods.
How OptiDist 2 works
A 100 ml specimen is distilled under the conditions prescribed for the boiling group into which the sample falls, in a batch distillation at ambient pressure. Temperature readings and condensate volumes are recorded systematically, and results are commonly expressed as percent evaporated or percent recovered versus the corresponding temperature.
OptiDist 2 enables truly “one button” operation. You select the boiling group of the sample and press the Start button.
